Widecombe Ringer in Incident at Worcester Cathedral

There have been several news reports this weekend regarding a ringer from Widecombe-in-the-Moor sustaining injuries following an incident while ringing the tenor at Worcester Cathedral. This included a dramatic rescue from the ringing room by trained members of the Fire and Rescue Service.

We are pleased to advise that the ringer concerned has returned home and has sustained a bump to the head and a back injury which will be explored with health professionals this week.

Our best wishes to the gentleman concerned for a speedy recovery and a quick return to ringing.
