We now have the details of Roger Trout’s memorial service, which Roger’s family has asked us to share with Devon Association ringers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The service will take place on Friday 1st August 2025 at Eggbuckland church, with the service starting at 1pm. Roger requested a traditional service so please wear black and white attire, but if you can add a touch of purple in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK that would be appreciated too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Donations will also be gratefully accepted for the benefit of St Luke’s and Marie Curie due to the support they provided during Roger’s illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bells will be available from 11.30am until 12.40pm, from which time Roger’s family will ring until immediately before the service. The service will close with a pre-selected band performing the competition peal; after this there will be open ringing until 3pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be a celebration of Roger’s life at The Prince Maurice in Eggbuckland after the service. Please park considerately and be aware that the pub is not the largest venue so may be very busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
